Victor Artus Solaro, best known as Artus, is a French comedian and actor born on August 17th, 1987, in Lavérune. Despite initially pursuing a culinary degree, Artus found his true calling in comedy and acting. Artus moved to Paris to hone his craft, studying at the Cours Florent and with Agnès Torres for two years. After a remarkable performance at the Avignon Festival Off in 2011, Laurent Ruquier invited him to join the cast of his popular comedy show On n’demande qu’à en rire on the TV channel France 2. Artus then became a regular on the program, appearing in over 80 sketches between 2011 and 2014, and quickly establishing himself as a versatile and multi-talented entertainer. In addition to his successful stand-up comedy tours, he has appeared in various television series, including a memorable role in the acclaimed spy drama The Bureau (2015-2020). After trying his hand at acting in films, taking on both comedic and dramatic parts, Artus won over the industry as the writer, director, and lead actor of the 2024 box-office hit Un p’tit truc en plus. This heartwarming comedy, which championed inclusivity and representation of people with disabilities, earned him a César Award nomination.
