Guillaume Cizeron

Born in 1994 in an artistic family, Guillaume Cizeron is a French figure skater who has achieved remarkable success in his sport. Cizeron’s father was the president of a local ice skating club, which ensured that his son began skating at a young age. Young Guillaume was soon introduced to his future partner, Gabriella Papadakis, by her mother, who suggested they try skating together. The duo quickly formed a successful partnership, competing at the junior level and achieving impressive results, including a silver medal at the 2013 World Junior Championships.Since making the transition to the senior level in 2013-2014, Cizeron and Papadakis have dominated the figure skating scene. They have won five European Championships (2015-2019), five World Championships (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2022), and the Olympic gold medal in 2022, setting numerous world records along the way. Their elegant and innovative routines have captivated audiences around the world, cementing their status as one of the greatest ice dance teams of all time. In addition to his remarkable sporting achievements, Cizeron is also known for his outspoken advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community. In 2020, he publicly came out as gay, using his platform to promote greater inclusivity and acceptance within the world of sports.
