Jeremy Scott has made a significant impact on the world of fashion with his bold, irreverent, and playful designs. Born in 1975 in Kansas City, the American fashion designer made the bold move to Paris after graduating from the Pratt Institute in 1996, where he launched his eponymous brand the following year. His early collections, which incorporated unconventional materials like paper hospital gowns and trash bags, quickly gained recognition for their avant-garde and subversive approach to fashion. In 2001, Scott returned to the United States, settling in Los Angeles, where he continued to produce provocative and whimsical collections that earned him a cult following, particularly in Asia. His collaborations with brands like Adidas, Longchamp, and Swatch further cemented his reputation as a designer who seamlessly blended high fashion with streetwear. In 2013, Scott was appointed as the creative director of the Italian fashion house Moschino, a role he held until 2023. During his tenure, he reinvented the brand’s irreverent spirit, creating collections that paid homage to American consumer culture with playful and ironic designs, and we especially remember the charm of his punk-themed collection during Paris Fashion Week in February 2023. Scott’s work has been widely celebrated, and he has dressed numerous celebrities, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, 2NE1 and Justin Bieber.
