Born in California on May 12th, 1981, Rami Malek is an American actor of Egyptian descent whose versatile and acclaimed performances have established him as one of the most compelling actors of his generation. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Evansville, Malek discovered his passion for acting during high school and began his career in the early 2000s. After a decade of remarkable supporting roles, his breakthrough came in 2015 with his leading role in the USA Network series Mr. Robot, for which he won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Two years later, Malek’s career reached new heights with his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), a performance that earned him numerous awards and international recognition. Other notable appearances include his role in the James Bond film No Time to Die (2021) and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer (2023).
