Isabel Marant breaks ground on her menswear flagship

During men’s fashion week, Isabel Marant celebrated the opening of her new flagship for her menswear collections. A crowd gathered in front of the shop at 111 rue de Turenne, many having spent the first part of the evening at the men’s fashion cocktail party at the Picasso Museum. The crowd moved and danced to the DJ sets by Cut Killer and Richie Reach, the set preceded by a dance performance from Alliance Crew. Isabel Marant dubbed her party “Gigot Bitume”—a celebratory dish that construction workers prepare at the near-completion of a building site, by cooking meat wrapped in kraft paper and aluminum foil. The whole shop will officially open in September; fittingly, it still feels like a “work in progress” in the meantime. Friends of the brand came to the visit, namely model Luc Defont, Lukas Ionesco, Calypso Valois, Nicolas Maury, Monica de la Villardière and Emily Marant.
