22.10.2015 Slick Art Fair 2015 #art

Presentation of the ARTE / Beaux-arts magazine award

ARTE confirms its commitment to contemporary art by rewarding for the seventh consecutive year the talent and creativity of an emerging artist at the SliCk Art Fair 2015, from 21 to 25 October.

Laureate 2015, Lucien Murat was awarded a Prize of 5000 euros and will benefit from an emphasis of his work on the various supports of ARTE as well as in Beaux-Arts Magazine. He was chosen among the artists presented this year at the SLICK 2015 Fair by a high-flying jury composed of David Combe (Tracks), Fabrice Bousteau, Louise Bourgoin, Gontran Cherrier, Thierry de Peretti, India Mahdavi, Nicolas Godin, Johan Tamer-Morael (Director of the Fair) and the singer Owlle.

Lucien Murat, a young French artist who graduated from the Central St Martin in London, expresses his fascination for the end of the world and its representations. Under his brushes, old tapestries are transformed into immense coloured works constantly flirting between absurd and grotesque. Review of the evening.
