Preview of the Urban Art – Artcurial sale

True to its commitment to urban cultures, Artcurial is organising on the evening of 5 February its new sale devoted to graffiti and contemporary urban art under the title Urban Art, which will present a wide range of urban works, from graffiti to the most recent experiments. A digest of the American and European graffiti scene, with notably the works of Seen, Blade, Quik, JonOne, Futura, Skki, Victor Ash or Dondi (of which a rare 1982 painting’Operation Input’ is expected around 20 000 to 25 000 euros).

But Artcurial also sells a series of works from the new urban scene, which will be honoured through the works of Shepard Fairey, Invader, Ludo, Rero, Vhils, Zevs, Mist or Tilt.

Before this treasure of street art disperses throughout the world with the auction, the Maison de l’avenue des Champs-Elysées organizes two previews, during which the visitor, profane or not, is invited to discover these pieces with definitely urban engagements, as well as two live performances by the artists Katre and JonOne. Review of the first part, in the presence of the artists.
