Passionate about theatre since she was a child, Anais Demoustier began her acting career in “Le Monde de Marty”, where she played alongside Michel Serrault. In 2003, the young woman from Lille got her first important role in “Le Temps du loup”, a family drama directed by Michael Haneke, with Isabelle Huppert and Béatrice Dalle in the main roles. Her career was launched and she went on to play supporting roles in various films, before making her mark the following year in Juliette Garcias movie “Sois sage”. In 2009, at the 34th César ceremony, Anaïs Demoustier was nominated in the Best Emerging Actress. Always active, the year 2014 testifies to the strong presence of this young actress in the landscape of French cinema, since she starred in five feature films, including the romantic comedy “Situation amoureuse: c’est compliqué”, which won an award at the Alpe d’Huez Festival for her performance in the comedy-drama “Les Grandes Personnes”, which confirmed her promising career. In 2022, Anaïs never stops reinventing herself and leads the investigation in “Novembre”, on the days following the 13 November attacks and plays one of the protagonists in Quentin Dupieux’s wacky “Incroyable mais vrai” and “Fumer fait tousser”. This year, in 2023, she will be present at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival as a member of the jury for the Caméra d’Or prize, as well as in “Le temps d’aimer” by Katell Quillévéré.
