“What future for the planet?”: a conversation by Thomas Erber at The Bureau08.01.2019
The planet, Thomas Erber knows it well. The founder of his Curiosity Firm spent more than twelve years in journalism, writing about music, fashion, design and travel, and travelled the world to discover the trends and talents of tomorrow. But as ecological warning signs multiply, tomorrow has never seemed so uncertain. At the time of the good resolutions, Thomas Erber organized the third edition of his philanthropic conversations aimed at making his guests aware of the issues facing our world. Co-founded with The Bureau, this year’s conversations focus on the future of the planet, and the steps to be taken to ensure a better future. Every first Tuesday of the month, Thomas Erber and The Bureau host personalities, artists, scientists, entrepreneurs and thinkers involved in this cause to positively debate a theme around the infamous hashtag #SaveThePlanet. This first Tuesday, the theme was “People and Machines”. André Manoukian (for the launch of muzeek.co), Julie de Pimodan (creator of Fluicity, a citizen participation application), Rasmus Michau and Laurent Geneslay (co-founders of The Bureau) were the guests of this first conversation of the year. Rasmus Michau and Laurent Geneslay also presented their book “Les Robots n’auront pas notre peau”, published by Dunod. The next edition will deal with gastronomy and new methods of production in short circuits. An intellectual and positive way to encourage reflection and the search for solutions without giving in to discouragement.
