One could say that Pharrell Williams is on all fronts, to say the least. As a singer, songwriter, and producer, he is responsible for creating numerous hits for popular artists such as Britney Spears, Nelly, Kelis and Justin Timberlake, and collaborated with major artists such as Snoop Dogg, among others. He exploded to fame in 2013 with several worldwide hits, including “Get Lucky” in collaboration with Daft Punk and “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke. His single “Happy,” featured in the film Despicable Me 2, became a global phenomenon, further solidifying his status as a musical icon. With his music spanning various genres including hip-hop, R&B, pop, and funk, he is the recipient of 13 Grammy Awards, including three for Producer of the Year. In 2014, he added another string to his bow by curating the GIRL exhibition, the name of his second album, at the Galerie Perrotin in Paris. Pharrell is also deeply involved in fashion. He co-founded the streetwear brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, and has collaborated with high-profile brands such as Chanel, Moncler and Adidas. In February 2023, Pharrell was appointed as the new Creative Director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s collections, succeeding the late Virgil Abloh. His unique sense of style and ability to blend luxury and street aesthetics have made him a respected figure in the fashion industry. Most recently, he co-hosted the Prelude to the 2024 Olympic Games, an evening party at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
