Belgian fashion designer and film producer Anthony Vaccarello has made a significant impact on the fashion and entertainment industries. After graduating from La Cambre, a prestigious visual arts school in Brussels, Vaccarello began his career in the fashion industry, working for Fendi alongside Karl Lagerfeld, and later on becoming the artistic director for Versus Versace. Known for his seductive style, modern silhouettes and his unique approach to design, which combines elements of sensuality and architectural precision, he quickly gained recognition within the fashion world. In 2011, Vaccarello won the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award, and in 2016, he was appointed as the creative director of the iconic French Fashion Maison Saint Laurent, succeeding highly acclaimed Hedi Slimane. Under his leadership, Saint Laurent has undergone a creative transformation, with collections that pay homage to the brand’s heritage while incorporating Vaccarello’s signature style. His collections are characterised by their use of black, gold, and an unapologetic celebration of femininity. But Vaccarello’s passion for the arts extends beyond fashion, as he has also ventured into the world of filmmaking. His involvement in projects such as Strange Way of Life (2023) by Pedro Almodóvar and Emilia Perez (2024) by Jacques Audiard reflects his desire to push the boundaries of what fashion can achieve.
